Aliu Oluwadamilare David is an Engineer, Business Development Strategist and Project Management Expert with over 10 years experience across several roles.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Russia and a Master’s degree in Control and Power Engineering from the National Research University, Russia. He also has a Diploma in Russian and Technical Languages from Tambav state Technical University, Russia as well as another Diploma in Engineering from the University of Lagos.
Oluwadamilare is the founder and Group Managing Director of TDA Group of Companies, a Nigerian conglomerate of businesses with a focus on operational excellence and customer service.
In his role as head of operations and strategy, he determines the organisations direction while developing and implementing projects and service offerings. he provides leadership for the daily operational needs of the organisation. ensuring that practices align with the overall vision and revenue targets of the group.
in addition to his current role, he is the operations Manager at Honeywell Power (UPSL) where he works with both internal and external stakeholders in the formulation of initiatives and strategies for optimized provision of power and energy-related services. He equally leads a team of plant managers, plant operators, technicians and contractors in managing existing power plants for the company.
Prior to this, he was a Senior Business Analyst and Business Development Manager at Shoreline Power Company, an indigenous power solutions company with Power Generation and Power equipment manufacturing activities throughout the Sub Saharan Africa region.
He also once headed the operations division at Dominum Energy, Nigeria where he managed and improved business logistics across the Lagos metropolis. He increased company profit margins by 120%, increased customer returns by 200% and reduced company costs among several achievements.
Beyond these, e has functioned in technical and engineering roles within and outside Nigeria.
In addition to his expansive technical expertise due to his experience within the power and energy sector, Oluwadamilare possesses analytical and statistical skills. He has a deep understanding of operational systems and business management structures and has consulted for a number of power companies in their entry and sustainability strategy in the Nigerian power space.
He is a member of the Nigerian Gas Association amongst other professional bodies and holds certifications in systems application and structured project management. He speaks English, Russian and Yoruba fluently and enjoys writing on possible solutions to problems which are peculiarly Nigerian.
